Graduation And Award!
Before the end of our mentorship program, mentees are expected to present a business plan for what their business will need to grow to the next level. This business presentation and our observation of their performance throughout the program among other criteria will decide their grant award.
While we don’t give grants in the form of cash, we make asset transfers (we purchase what they supplies, equipment or resources needed for the next step in their businesses).
The 2022 mentorship session concluded in November and we have now finished interviewing candidates for next year’s session. In 2023, we will mentor two batches of participants which means we will be training 40 business men and women, 20 more than last year!
This means that by December 2023, just one year from today, The Leader Team will have equipped 60 entrepreneurs to start and grow their small businesses in order to decrease the cycle of poverty in Nigeria!
We are excited to watch our mentees continue to grow their business as we offer additional opportunities for graduates to stay connected: biannual graduate conference, quarterly small group business coaching and Team Leadership opportunities for new mentees.
Thank you for your continued investment in The Leader Team! Your generosity changes lives!
